As Director of Design Mr. Sprott is responsible for design and documentation of all architectural projects.

Mr. Sprott has taught several design studios at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, School of Architecture focusing on the importance of materials, detailing and coordination in creating successful facilities.

As a former principal at Tobin + Dudley Architects and former Technical Director of The Freelon Group’s Charlotte office, Mr. Sprott brings experience in a wide variety of project types and sizes. Past work has involved coordination with numerous governmental agencies including: The City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, Raleigh Durham Airport Authority, NC Office of State Construction, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, NC Department of Insurance, Charlotte Department of Transportation and NC Department of Transportation – as well as experience in many different project delivery methods – Construction Manager as Agent, Construction Manager at Risk, Public Bid, Invited Bid and Negotiated Contract.

It is Mr. Sprott’s belief that a successful project requires careful attention to design throughout the process, from schematic sketches through final construction. The details and constructability are equal to planning and formal composition in determining a successful outcome.
